Business Intelligence Analyst

This role is for a Business Intelligence Analyst consultant, who can lead, design, and drive the buildout of a repository of value realization business outcomes, corresponding metrics, and explanatory documentation for our customers. This role requires a highly focused and structured individual who can independently drive transformative change for our customers and bridge the gap between IT and business stakeholders.

NOTE: This is a customer facing role and requires critical thinking and stellar communications skills. Utilities industry experience is a plus!

 

Responsibilities

  • Define business transformation objectives, value outcomes, and operational metrics, reporting queries, and calculations
  • Collaborate with and across various stakeholder groups to ensure the value realization journey is connected end-to-end
  • Create leading practices documentation that explain the objectives, outcomes, and metric in a clear and concise manner
  • Define and build out Accelerator packages to support reuse of value models across various customers
  • Design dashboards and scorecards
  • Recommend statistical and predictive models for process optimization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, business administration, or a closely related field
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, warehousing, and reporting in a utility or large business environment with emphasis on automated systems, accounting, financial analysis, fixed assets, or customer information and billing.
  • Experience using BI tools (Tableau, Power BI) for data visualization and reporting
  • Experience covering topics such as value realization and ROI calculations, building reporting and dashboards, and the subsequent business alignment and engagement with senior leadership for digital transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with and understanding of Cloud Platform solutions and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Proficiency with, and understanding of data modeling, query design, and query building.
  • Strong storyteller, capable of breaking down complex calculations and concepts into understandable language and presentable content.
  • Proficiency in defining OKRs and KPIs and understanding the difference.
  • Capable of understanding and defining the bigger picture. This role requires continuous translation between technical capabilities, business outcomes and value, and conceptual standardization.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to align a high-profile and diverse group of stakeholders, while driving to a common business outcome.
